GAME and SEASON STRUCTURE:
3.1 2004-08-31 The official rules of hockey Canada will be used for all Manitoulin Minor Hockey games.
3.2 2004-08-31 Game durations shall be: U11 through U18: 3 x 15 minute stop periods.
3.3 2004-08-31(amended 2025-05-20) In all divisions the ice shall be flooded once during the game unless otherwise agreed upon by both coaches and the game official for no flood. An exception can occur when there is a mechanical failure with Arena Equipment i.e Zamboni
3.4 2023-11-14 U9 half-ice games will have two minute shifts for two 24 minute periods. Clock doesn’t stop. No score kept. U7 games will be 2 minute shifts for two 20 minute periods. Clock doesn’t stop. No score kept.U9 full-ice games will follow the same rules as U11 full-ice games.
3.5 2007-02-13 After a seven-goal differential in the third period of a game, the time will be straight. If a team regains a five-goal differential, stop time will be reinstated for the remainder of the 3rd period.
3.6 2004-08-31 No game shall be scheduled before 6:30 pm on a weeknight for any team, unless with the permission of both teams.
