Player Movement & Tampering
As we move through the middle of the season, and as we know families are already starting to think about next season, I want to share a quick reminder about the current OHF player movement and tampering regulations.
As defined by the OHF, no coach—formally or informally—from another association, at any level, including rep/travel, may discuss player movement for next season, including evaluations or joining their team, with players or families until formal evaluations officially begin in the spring of 2026.
Any conversations before that point may be considered tampering. These guidelines help keep things fair and respectful for all players, families, and associations.
For more information, please review the OHF Player Movement FAQ: https://ohf.on.ca/player-movement-faqs
Thank you for your cooperation.
Let’s enjoy the current season, and we can focus on next season at the proper time.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you,
Nick Lane
